Yesterday marked the start of playing week seven of the MODUS Super Series 11. After the opening day, Conan Whitehead leads with six points. Behind the Englishman follow four more players with six points as well.
The MODUS Super Series is a weekly tournament with 12 players competing from Monday through Friday for a spot in the final group, which takes place on Saturday night. The player who finishes first after three sessions qualifies directly for the final night on Saturday night. On final night, players compete in a small group stage, followed by semifinals and a final to determine the weekly winner.
The competition begins again the following week, with twelve new players competing for the title. After twelve weeks of competition, all weekly winners compete in "Champions Week," which is played every thirteen weeks of play to determine who wins the series and one with the top prize of £20,000.
One of the players who, like Whitehead, totals six points is Jimmy van Schie. The Dutchman was ranked number one in the WDF last year, but failed to capture a PDC Tour Card early this year.
At the very bottom of the ranking, with still zero points, is Thomas Banks. The 18-year-old Englishman is known as a great talent and has already won titles in the JDC and WDF.
Banks, however, has been struggling with dartitis for some time. Still, he doesn't want to give up, as evidenced by the video below!
Wouldn’t wish Dartitis on my worst enemy. Horrible thing to deal with.

Thomas Banks is dealing with it in the best way, and that’s by not giving up pic.twitter.com/lMZLQ9wRpD
