'1923' star Harrison Ford shares if he wants to continue his role after 'Yellowstone' prequel

At a FYC event for 1923, Harrison Ford, who starred as Jacob Dutton, opened up about whether or not he would come back to the Yellowstone universe after the season two finale.

"I'm still alive," he joked while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, and added that he would be interested in returning if Taylor Sheridan "asks nice." However, he was sure to comment that he has "no idea what his plans are."

In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.

He also discussed the finale, which he thought was "fantastic," explaining, "I thought it was very tight storytelling and I was absolutely delighted with it. It’s probably the densest script and work that I’ve had a chance to work on in a long, long time."

Additionally, the cast includes Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton, and Jennifer Carpenter.

"I signed up because Harrison was doing it and he signed up because I was doing it. I mean, that was hugely flattering for me," Mirren revealed to Gold Derby, noting that's how Sheridan got them each to join the show. "Both of us understood what had happened."

She continued to share that she is "very proud of being a part of it," expressing, "Massive kudos to our director Ben Richardson, who was extraordinary, and the director of all the episodes. It's an amazing achievement by our director."

The second season is streaming on Paramount+.
