Wouldn't everybody like to step inside an animated world? These 20 animated films would be incredible to live inside.

'The Super Mario Bros. Movie'
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Universal Pictures
Living inside The Super Mario Bros. Movie would be like living inside Super Mario, only better. There’s more freedom of movement and fewer coins to collect, and if you get sick of Mushroom Kingdom, you can always return to Brooklyn.

'Fantastic Mr. Fox'
Fantastic Mr. Fox
20th Century Fox
It would be lovely to live inside any of Wes Anderson’s creations, but Fantastic Mr. Fox would be especially fun. It might be a little dangerous, but it would be a beautifully autumnal world with no shortage of adventures.
Anastasia
Fox Family Films
You could say that living inside Anastasia would be like living in Russia, but you would be wrong. It would be like living in Russia, where everyone sings songs, the animals can talk, and there are frequent balls to attend.
Shrek
DreamWorks Animation
Living anywhere near Shrek’s swamp might not be particularly fun, but living in Far Far Away would be sick. It’s a fairytale Hollywood, and all the residents are characters you’ve dreamed of meeting your whole life.
Monsters, Inc.
Pixar Animation Studios
While the monsters in Monsters, Inc. value scaring humans, they’re not actually that scary (except for Randall and Mr. Waternoose, but they could be avoided). And the perk of using the door system to end up anywhere you want in the world far outweighs the terror of any monster.
Wreck-It Ralph
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Bouncing around from video game to video game within Litwak’s Arcade would be an absolute treat. Just as long as the pressure wouldn’t be on us to save any video games.
Cars
Pixar Animation Studios
If you’ve been to Cars Land at Disneyland, you can understand why someone would want to live inside Cars, especially in Radiator Springs. It’s a charming town with lots of history, and now it has great roads.
Moana
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Living inside Moana would be a paradise. Beautiful waters, pristine beaches, visiting actual Polynesia would be a great experience, too, but inside Moana, you wouldn’t have the responsibilities that you have in the real world.
Toy Story
Pixar Animation Studios
Living inside a world where toys can talk? Heck yes. Imagine all that could be learned about the world, both present and past, from the toys that have been in existence longer than some people.
Frozen
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Living in Arendelle when it’s frozen over from Elsa’s dark magic would be fun for about a week. Living in Arendelle when it’s not frozen over from Elsa’s dark magic would be fun all the time.

'The Incredibles'
The Incredibles
Pixar Animation Studios
It would be slightly terrifying to be in Metroville when people like Syndrome and The Underminer wreak havoc, but it would be so thrilling to watch Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone save the day.
Mulan
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Living in actual China when the real Huns were invading, it was probably a little frightening. But living inside Mulan's version of China, where she and her war buddies bring honor to their country with the help of a talking dragon, would be awesome.
Inside Out
Pixar Animation Studios
In some ways, we all live inside Inside Out because we all live inside our own minds. But wouldn’t it be fun to step inside Riley’s mind and spend time with Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling as an adolescent’s emotions?
Finding Nemo
Pixar Animation Studios
We don’t want to live in the actual ocean. That would be awful. But we would be happy to live in the Finding Nemo version of it. We could hang out in coral reefs and swim with sea turtles with the assurance that we’re not actually going to die.
Madagascar
DreamWorks Animation
Actual Madagascar is amazing, but the animated version looks just as fun. Plus, the animals in the movie version of Madagascar are slightly more approachable, which is important when choosing an animated world in which to live.
Zootopia
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Zootopia would be an amazing place to live. There’s so much going on, and the animals are very funny. It’s a little crowded in places, but that’s part of what makes it so fun. It’s a non-stop adventure.
Peter Pan
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Neverland would be an amazing place to live. An island next to the stars where time stops and mermaids, pirates, and fairies live? It would be a dream.

'Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs'
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Columbia Pictures
Living inside a world that rains giant food? Where do we sign the lease? Sure, some of the food that lands in Swallow Falls is alive, but as long as you avoid the strawberries with faces, you’ll have an incredibly enjoyable and tasty visit.
Up
Pixar Animation Studios
Honestly, the only reason we want to live inside Up is so that we can ride in Carl Fredricksen’s house while it’s being carried by balloons. But that’s a good enough reason to want to live anywhere.
Tarzan
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Similarly to wanting to live inside Up, we only want to live inside Tarzan for one reason: to ride on Tarzan’s back while he’s swinging through the trees. But who can blame us? It would be unbelievably fun.
