20 stars you forgot appeared on 'Suits'

Troian Bellisario appeared on multiple episodes of Suits during its run, playing a law student who had an interesting backstory with Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams. Given that Adams and Bellisario are married in real life, it’s safe to assume that Bellisario got the gig through her husband. 

John Billingsley, perhaps best known for his work in Star Trek: Enterprise, appeared on two episodes of Suits. He played an accountant named Stan Jacobson, who had somewhat of a similar backstory to Mike Ross. 

The show’s creator is a fan of Charles Barkley, and that’s how the basketball star got the chance to be on Suits. Barkley’s appearance was a pure cameo, making him one of just a couple of people to play themselves on the series. 

Neal McDonough has plenty of experience in dramas, and he lent his expertise to quite a few episodes of Suits. McDonough played a prosecutor for the SEC, and he said he loved being part of the series because of the interesting characters. 

You might recognize Amy Acker from shows like Angel, Person of Interest, or Alias. Or maybe you recognize her from her stint on Suits, in which she played the sister of Louis Litt, who needed legal help with her divorce. 

Michelle Fairley played a character on Suits who was being accused of bribery and murder. Before her time on the legal drama, Fairley had dozens of roles in shows and movies like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. 

Eric Roberts is one of those actors who you know you’ve seen before because he’s in everything (seriously, how does he find the time?). But you can’t always place. When you were watching him on Suits, you might’ve recognized him from Runaway Train, The Dark Knight, or The Expendables. 

Michael Phelps also got to play himself on Suits. The Olympic GOAT tweeted about his love for the show and found himself on set one day. It just goes to show that if you’re a super famous athlete who tweets about how much they love a TV show, you just might get to make a cameo. 

Stephen Macht likely got his brief role on Suits because of his son, Gabriel Macht, who starred in the series throughout its entire run. No TV series in Hollywood has ever been immune to nepotism, even in the reverse. 

Australian actress Jacinda Barrett made an appearance on Suits early in the series, a notable cameo given she’s married to Gabriel Macht in real life. Macht was getting everyone in his family acting work while he was on Suits. 

Victor Garber has played roles in many iconic projects, including Titanic, Legally Blonde, Alias, Argo, and more. He also played a man named Philip in one episode of Suits. 

When you saw Malcolm-Jamal Warner playing Julius Rowe on six episodes of Suits, you probably asked yourself how you knew him. In case it never came to you, Warner played Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show. 

Benjamin Hollingsworth appeared on two episodes of Suits early in his career. Since that gig, he’s been in projects like Code Black and Virgin River. 

Eric Close is best known for his work in series like Without a Trace and Nashville, as well as films like American Sniper. In the Suits community, Close is best known for playing Travis Tanner in six different episodes throughout the series. 

David Costabile had one of the longer guest runs on Suits. He played Daniel Hardman in 16 episodes throughout the latter half of the series. You might recognize him from Billions, Lincoln, or even Breaking Bad. 

Abigail Spencer was in Suits, so much so that it feels like she had a bigger role. But the All My Children alum was only in the series for 15 episodes. Her character just made a huge impact any time she was on screen. 

Tricia Helfer of Battlestar Galactica fame played a character named Evan Smith in three episodes of Suits in the middle of the series. Smith was a hard-nosed attorney for a competing law firm. 

Kurtwood Smith has played plenty of iconic roles, most notably Red Forman in That ‘70s Show (and its reboot That ‘90s Show). Smith also appeared as a man named Ted Tucker for an episode of Suits near the end of its run. 

You might not have noticed her when you first watched Suits, but if you rewatched it recently, you might’ve noticed Erinn Hayes, an Emmy-nominated actress who’s appeared in tons of comedies and acted in the series Childrens Hospital. Hayes had a minor role in an early episode of Suits.  

Gary Cole is another actor seemingly in everything but can sometimes be hard to place. Cole was in multiple episodes of Suits throughout its run, popping up occasionally from season to season. You might know him from The West Wing, Veep, The Good Wife, or a plethora of classic 2000s comedy films.
