23 artists Beyoncé should consider working with if ‘Act III’ is rock

Beyoncé fans have speculated that the multi-Grammy winner will be heading in yet another new direction with her next album. With Act I came Renaissance, a heavily dance-inspired record. She followed that up by paying homage to her Texan roots with Cowboy Carter during Act II. For Act III, many have placed their bets on it being a rock record. Knowing that Beyoncé never fails at showing respect to the music that came before her, it wouldn’t be shocking to see hints of Tina Turner and Sister Rosetta Tharpe on Act III, but given that those two women wouldn’t be able to join Bey in the studio, one has to wonder who might Beyoncé collaborate with on a rock album? Let’s take some guesses!

Beyoncé does not need help winning awards, but it wouldn’t hurt to have Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails on Act III, as the man is one award away from an EGOT.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus won a Grammy with Beyoncé for their work together on Cowboy Carter, so they have already proven they’re a great pair. Plus, with those vocals, how could anyone not want Miley to collab on a rock album?

Lenny Kravitz

It would be kind of shocking to have Act III be all about rock music, and not have it go Lenny Kravitz’s way.

Incubus

The genre of rock covers a lot of ground, so if Beyoncé wanted to get kind of trippy with it, she would have to look no further than California’s own Incubus. They have some pretty mainstream hits, but fans who have dug beneath the surface know how lost in a trance one can get with some of their older stuff.

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert didn’t win season 8 of American Idol, but he did win at life as he went on to become the vocalist for Queen. Yeah, that Queen. Filling some pretty incredible shoes on tour, Lambert’s range would be quite nice alongside Beyoncé’s.

A remake of “Love is a Battlefield” would heal many.

Beyoncé won’t invite Bono to the studio. He will just appear there like that U2 album did on iPhones once upon a time.

Jay-Z once did a whole collaboration with Linkin Park, so why not keep it in the family?

Going from Cowboy Carter to rock by bridging the gap with a duet with someone who gives Americana like The Boss would be iconic.

Hayley Williams

Hayley Williams of Paramore might be the size of a Polly Pocket, but her vocals are mighty. Influenced by her southern roots, the girl can belt it out with the best of them, and Paramore fans would kill over with excitement if Williams got to belt it out with someone like Beyoncé.

One cannot count out The Killers and the very radio-ready rock they make.

Chris Martin and Beyoncé are besties, so his involvement would surprise no one.

Stevie Nicks

Beyoncé should not only consider Stevie Nicks, she should call her right now, schedule some studio time, and get to work.

Billie Joe Armstrong

It’s kind of fun imagining Beyoncé going full punk rock with Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day.

Sampling “Heart of Glass” and having Debbie Harry on the track? Just give Beyoncé the Grammy now.

No one could’ve told you in 2005 that one day someone would consider Beyoncé and My Chemical Romance working together, but here we are.

Chris Daughtry

Chris Daughtry might feel random, but let’s not forget that he didn’t win his season of American Idol. He didn’t even make it to the finale. He came in fifth, and yet he’s one of the most prominent voices from the show. That’s the kind of vocal prowess Beyoncé deserves on her album.

The force of nature that would be a duet involving Beyoncé and Brittany Howard would move mountains.

Wherever rock music is happening, Dave Grohl must be in attendance.

If Robert Smith is answering the phone for Olivia Rodrigo, he’s surely going to answer for Beyoncé if she calls.

Amy Lee’s ethereal voice with Beyonce’s? Yup.

Patrick Stump

Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy could’ve been an R&B singer, and in a perfect world, he’d do a soulful ballad with Beyoncé, but for the sake of Act III, they can rock out together.

Joan Jett

It’d be too easy to have Joan Jett for “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll,” but it would be pretty nice to hear her guitar licks on a track.
