
Music legend Neil Diamond recently surprised fans with an album signing at a local bookstore —and his social media followers were just as thrilled to see him doing well in photos from the impromptu event.
On May 10, the “Sweet Caroline” singer, 85, took to Instagram with a carousel of pictures that many fans’ day. “Neil snuck into his local Barnes and Noble in Glenwood Springs and left some signed copies of Wild At Heart behind!
,” the caption read.
In the snaps, Diamond smiled while sitting in front of a display of his 2026 album, which was released on May 8. Other shots showed him signing an album and close-ups of the cover.

In the comments, Diamond’s fans rejoiced over the rare new photos of the “Song Sung Blue” singer. One Instagram follower exclaimed, “Wow! This is good to see.
.”
Another wrote, “That would be so awesome to have Neil’s autograph. What a kind thing to do,” as a third person echoed, “Lucky to those who will get a signed copy. I wish I had one.
.”
Someone else pointed out, “Does Neil realize how much he is loved? He was gorgeous as a young man, and he is adorable as a senior citizen!! His music is fabulous and forever!!”
A different Instagram user declared, “Legend doing legend things.”
Yet another shared, “Looking absolutely fantastic, even with Parkinson’s. Have loved your music since the 60’s and still love your beautiful voice and your gorgeous eyes!”
During his more than six-decade career, Diamond has won a Grammy and a Golden Globe, as well as countless other accolades. In addition to “Sweet Caroline” and “Song Sung Blue,” “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Hello Again,” “I am … I said,” and “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” among others. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
