A crime drama that thrilled many viewers is set to return to Netflix soon, after fans were left wanting more nearly two years ago. A new chapter of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder will debut on the streaming service later this month.
Netflix's official website announced in April 2026 that season 2 of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder will premiere on May 27, 2026. It will mark the show's return after it originally debuted on July 1, 2024. Just like the first season, it is set to be six episodes long, which promises that it won't be dragged out.
The first season of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder was a major success. It became the No. 1 show on Netflix globally from July 29, 2024, through August 4, 2024. It was viewed 7.4 million times and was watched for 34 million hours that week alone. It was also a critical hit, earning a solid 83% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on critics' reviews.
The series is based on a series of books by the same name that were written by Holly Jackson. The upcoming season is based on the second book in the series, "Good Girl, Bad Blood." It focuses on the 18-year-old main character, Pippa Fitz-Amobi, investigating the disappearance of her friend's brother after the local small-town police drop the ball.
Netflix's announcement about the show's return quoted the novel's author expressing how excited she was about season 2 and revealing the new role she took in its production. “I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show! We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my A Good Girl's Guide to Murder family!”
The mystery series stars Emma Myers, the actor who is best known for starring in Wednesday as Enid Sinclair. She was also quoted talking about how thrilled she is that fans will soon get to watch season 2. "I’m feeling very nostalgic. This season has been really special to me, and I’m so excited for everybody to see it.”
