Super Bowl halftime history includes a select group of artists who have been invited back to the stage more than once, and Bad Bunny is firmly part of that lineage.

Why Bad Bunny is not new to the Super Bowl stage

Bad Bunny first appeared at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2020 as a featured guest during the joint performance headlined by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

His return as a headliner in 2026 places him alongside artists such as Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick Lamar, who also transitioned from guest appearances to leading the show.

The list shows that repeat halftime invitations are reserved for performers with sustained cultural relevance, making Bad Bunny’s return less of a debut and more of a continuation of an established Super Bowl presence.
