Ariana Grande picked up her first Oscar nomination for 'Wicked' and will almost certainly be in the mix again for 'Wicked: Part Two.' She’s also lined up for the fourth 'Meet the Parents' movie, which is titled 'Focker In-Law' (heavy sigh). However, Grande didn’t actually become a household name as an actor. While some grew up with her on Nickelodeon’s 'Victorious' and 'Sam & Cat,' most people first knew her as a musician. The acting career, oddly enough, is her side hustle.
Grande hasn’t hit the road as a musician since 2019, with acting roles and a global pandemic putting her touring days on pause. That drought is ending, though. Grande announced she’ll launch a new tour in June 2026. Yes, that means fans will have to wait until next summer to see her in action. But after seven years off the stage, a few more months won’t hurt.
Grande isn’t exactly jamming econo with her return. Instead of a sprawling, city-crushing tour, she’s going big in a few places. Next July she’ll do a four-night run in Brooklyn, and the “Eternal Sunshine Tour” wraps with a staggering five shows at London’s O2 Arena.
Unlike Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, who still take the old-school, many-stops approach, Grande is keeping it selective. Maybe it’s scheduling, she’ll likely be tied up with Oscars chatter through March, or maybe it’s just her style. Either way, after a seven-year break from touring, fans aren’t complaining.
