Arnold Schwarzenegger surprises his 'Twins' brother Danny DeVito at award ceremony

It was a night to celebrate the one and only Danny DeVito in New York City, and many of the actor's co-stars showed up to support at Roundabout Theatre Company as he received the Jason Robards Award for Excellence.

Roundabout Theatre Company: From his on-screen twin Arnold Schwarzenegger to the cast of TAXI, everyone came out to help us honor the legendary Danny DeVito at our 2025 Gala. Josh Groban's stunning performance was the icing on the cake to this spectacular evening, which helped us raise over $4 million to support our many programs, including Education at Roundabout.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had the opportunity to honor his friend with the award and wrote on his Instagram, "Last night, I had the opportunity to surprise my brother, Danny DeVito, and be there to help present him with the Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre."

He continued to add, "It didn’t matter that I filmed all day and had to throw on a jacket and hustle on stage. I had to be there, because he deserves to be celebrated. Be there for your friends and family."

The two worked together on Twins, which came out in 1988. They played twin brothers, who were separated at birth after a genetic experiment gone wrong.

Last year on CNN, DeVito teased, "We’re working on something, a project that we’re going to do together, another movie." He then shared, "Arnold and I are good buddies. We met way before Twins, years ago."

DeVito and Schwarzenegger were also paired together as presenters for the best visual effects and best film editing categories at the 96th Academy Awards ceremony in 2024. "It’s just so much fun and we kept it a surprise as much as we could," the actor said. "We didn’t tell anybody and that was fun going out there and it was a big, good reception."
