Avenged Sevenfold Surprise-Release Four-Song 'STATICA' EP

Avenged Sevenfold surprise-released a four-song EP titled STATICA on July 24, without announcing the project in advance.

The 18-minute release contains "Lights," "Statica," "Rejoice" and "Ashes." The EP is available through major streaming platforms, including Spotify.

STATICA moves further into the experimental territory Avenged Sevenfold explored on 2016's The Stage and 2023's Life Is But a Dream…. The four tracks incorporate electronic beats, synthesizers and processed vocals alongside elements associated with the band's heavier catalog.

The band had not issued a detailed statement explaining the project at the time of its release. The unexpected arrival makes STATICA Avenged Sevenfold's first multi-song release since Life Is But a Dream… and follows the December 2025 single "Magic."

The EP arrived one day before Avenged Sevenfold opened its 2026 North American co-headlining tour with Good Charlotte at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale, Missouri.
