A few months back, we told you all about the first DC and Marvel crossover in literally decades, Deadpool/Batman. Marvel Comics will publish its own version of this team-up first in September. But coming this November, DC Comics will unleash their Batman/Deadpool #1, by superstar writer Grant Morrison and Justice League Unlimited artist Dan Mora. Together, they will tell a story about the Dark Knight Detective meeting Marvel’s “Merc with a Mouth,” in what is sure to be a wild ride, by two legendary talents.

In addition to the main event of Bruce vs. Wade, there will be three other Marvel and DC crossover stories in this special. These back up stories will feature team-ups between Hulk and Harley Quinn, Nightwing and Wolverine (Laura Kinney), and Static and Ms. Marvel. In addition, Batman/Deadpool will have an additional whopping 19 variant covers, featuring some amazing DC/Marvel character pairings. You can read the synopsis for Batman/Deadpool #1 right here, and check out the DC/Marvel variant covers in our gallery below:

What happens when the World’s Greatest Detective meets the Merc with a Mouth? Reality folds in on itself. Archetypes collide. Darkseid is. And, somewhere between Apokolips and Earth-TRN666, a sentient street named Danny hums show tunes about a crusading cape! But DC’s Batman/Deadpool #1 isn’t just a comic book crossover between iconic publishers. It’s a metaphysical car crash between two storytelling philosophies. One character broods in the shadows of trauma and justice. The other cartwheels through chaos, breaking the fourth wall and occasionally the laws of physics. Together, they’re forced to confront a threat that doesn’t just endanger their worlds—it questions their very existence as fictional constructs.

DC Comics further describes the Batman/Deadpool issue as “Equal parts cosmic horror, slapstick noir, and metafictional therapy session. It’s the kind of comic book that knows it’s a comic book, revels in being a comic book, and weaponizes its comic bookiness. And it dares you to keep reading anyway!” Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Joshua Williamson, and Hayden Sherman bring Constantine and Doctor Strange together. Meanwhile, Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo tell a tale of Nightwing and Wolverine/X-23. Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner unleash chaos with a Harley Quinn vs. Hulk showdown. And finally, G. Willow Wilson and Denys Cowan bring together teenage heroes Static and Ms. Marvel. This is one DC and Marvel comic fans can’t afford to miss.

Batman/Deadpool #1, a 64-page one-shot, will retail for $7.99 US, $8.99 for variant covers, and hits shelves on Wednesday, November 19.
