Ben Affleck says he hated wearing the Batsuit

“I hated the batsuits. The batsuits are horrendous to wear,” Affleck said. “They’re incredibly hot, for one thing. They don’t breathe. They’re made to look the way they want ‘em to look, and there’s no thought put into the human being.” 

To be fair, the Bat’s signature look doesn’t appear to be very comfortable. And having that half mask on with your chin out and pointy ears is stylish but not incredibly practical. Affleck says that covering his head only made things worse, especially for a guy who already sweats a lot. “I get hot,” he continued. “And so in that thing, you would just be pouring water because it’s got the cowl over it. Like, there’s one thing to wear the suit, but once you cover your head, I guess that’s where all your heat kind of escapes and you feel it.” 

Ben Affleck wasn’t the only person who hated the Batsuit. The stunt guys also found themselves roasting in it after about 45 minutes. Affleck said it felt hard to feel like a hero when he was a hot, sweaty mess but we think he totally pulled it off well. Now we wanna know what the other Bat actors think about the Dark Knight’s crime-fighting getup.
