Blue Ivy Carter becomes youngest-ever VMA winner

Blue Ivy has the ultimate bragging rights among nine-year-olds everywhere after Sunday night's 2021 MTV Video Music Awards:

"Brown Skin Girl" was released on Beyoncé's 2019 The Lion King: The Gift and featured Blue Ivy alongside SAINt JHN and WizKiD. The video dropped in late August 2020:

The stunning visual beat out "Therefore I Am" (Billie Eilish), "Shame Shame" (Foo Fighters), "Holy" (Justin Bieber featuring Chance the Rapper), "911" (Lady Gaga) and "Solar Power" (Lorde). The credited cinematographers are Benoit Soler, Malik H. Sayeed, Mohammed Atta Ahmed, Santiago Gonzalez and Ryan Helfant.

Blue Ivy previously became the second-youngest person to claim a Grammy Award in March when "Brown Skin Girl" took home best music video:
