Brooke Hogan Calls Out Her Estranged Family For Abuse

In response to her mother Linda Hogan's emotional video, Brooke Hogan issued a candid statement in an Instagram post addressing her family's tumultuous dynamics. She began by acknowledging that her message was not directed at either parent specifically but was her "own personal truth." Brooke revealed enduring abuse of all sorts throughout her life:

I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it's not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes.

Brooke addressed her mother's behavior, stating that while Linda has "been through A LOT of trauma and pain," it doesn't excuse the treatment Brooke endured. She emphasized the importance of controlling one's behavior despite hardships, stating:

You can't control how others treat you, but you can control how you treat others and cope with things.

Brooke clarified that her decisions to cease contact with each parent were based on "completely separate reasons" and were not influenced by their relationship with each other. She detailed experiences of "berating and vile text messages," "public reamings," "blatant lies," and "manipulation":

I've been used as a pawn, a buffer, and been treated like I'm downright stupid too. No child or human should ever experience something like this.

Despite The Hardships, Brooke Carries On With Her Own Family
