Chaeyoung of TWICE Releases Dreamy Debut Solo Album

Chaeyoung of the popular K-pop group TWICE, has released her first full-length solo album titled LIL FANTASY vol.1. Released on September 12, 2025, FANTASY coincides with her 10th anniversary in the music industry since her debut with TWICE in 2015. Lead by the single “Shoot (Firecracker)”, the album features a mix of self-composed tracks and collaborations. Showcasing a new artistic direction for the album, Chaeyoung ‘s concept is described as melodic fantasy.

This includes visuals and themes reflecting a dreamlike, and unique aesthetic. The album’s title and release date were first announced on August 8, 2025. Pre-orders for the album began on August 25, with various physical editions available. To celebrate the release, Chaeyoung also hosted a YouTube countdown live stream on September 11.

The New Album Brings a Fantasy to Life

In an Instagram update, Chaeyoung expressed her excitement for the project, calling it the beginning of a new chapter. This solo debut makes Chaeyoung the fourth TWICE member to pursue a solo career, following Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. She has also been actively involved in the creative process, writing the lyrics for all songs on the album.

She also contributed to the composition and arrangement of most of the tracks. A music video for the track “Avocado,” featuring Gliiico, was released on September 1. Additional collaborations include Sumin and Jibin of Y2K92, on “Ribbons,” and Kai on “Downpour”. The album’s track listing was revealed on September 2, 2025.

Chaeyoung’s Star Quality Developed at an Early Age

Performing since the age of 13, the Seoul Korea native’s big break came with her K-Pop girl group TWICE. Their first studio album, Twicetagram, and its lead single “Likey” topped both the Billboard’s World Albums and World Digital Song Sales charts. This made them the first female Korean act to achieve this. Ultimately, TWICE went on to achieve international success.
