Channing Tatum jokes he only works out because he has to be naked on camera

Channing Tatum's body has been labeled "goals" by a lot of people in his career, but his fans might not feel that way if they knew what goes into attaining said body.

"As someone that has to work out for a job, I promise you I would not look like this unless I had to be naked in most of my movies," Tatum said on The Kelly Clarkson Show . "At some point, I gotta get better at acting so I don't have to be naked in all of them."

Tatum was speaking on the subject after hearing Meg Boggs, who was also on the show to promote her book Fitness for Every Body:

Tatum continued: "I literally get to work out as a job, and it's still hard. And I can't imagine people that have a 9-to-5 job, have kids at home, and then where do they get the energy and the time to actually focus on themselves?"

It's safe to assume that Tatum's best known nudity-based role was as the titular character in Magic Mike (2012) and Magic Mike XXL (2015). Those films were very loosely based on Tatum's earlier days as a male stripper before breaking through in Hollywood.
