Channing Tatum has posted a behind-the-scenes look at how he got into character for Deadpool and Wolverine.

The actor, who plays X-Men member Gambit in Marvel's biggest movie of 2024, shared the featurette on Twitter, writing “Soon you’ll be able to watch Gambit with CAPTIONS ON.” If you haven’t seen the film, that’s a reference to Gambit’s thick, Cajun accent, which is sometimes hard to decipher.

Thank goodness for subtitles then, which will be part of the Deadpool and Wolverine digital release on October 1. It also comes to Blu-ray two weeks later on October 22.

“I’ve been dancing around Gambit for almost around 20 years now,” says Tatum in the featurette. “I’d have done truly anything to walk on to screen as Gambit just even one time.” We also see his considerable staff-twirling skills in action, which actually look legit even without accompanying VFX.

Along with the Gambit featurette posted by Tatum, there’s a whole list of bonus features. This includes a gag reel, interviews with the cast, mini documentaries, and deleted scenes. Click here to watch a Men's Journal exclusive Deadpool and Wolverine deleted scene - Do Nothing.
