Chris Pine doesn’t think much of DC cancelling Wonder Woman 3.

The actor, who plays love interest Steve Trevor in both Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984, admitted his frustration to Business Insider.

“I'm stunned that they said no to a billion-dollar franchise and decided to pivot elsewhere. I don't know what the reasoning was behind that; it's above my pay grade, but Wonder Woman is an incredible character; Patty is such a thoughtful director.”

Wonder Woman isn’t the only hero DC has axed. Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, and Ezra Miller’s Flash are all gone in order to make way for the rebooted DC universe. It’s called Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, and starts with Superman in Summer 2025.

Pine isn’t the only one questioning the decision. When news broke Wonder Woman 3 was cancelled, the original Wonder Woman responded , with Lynda Carter saying, “I don’t know why they tabled it, because it’s a great franchise.”
