Cyndi Lauper announces 25 more dates for her farewell tour

Girls can only have fun for so long, at least professionally. 1980s pop superstar Cyndi Lauper has been on her farewell tour since October, and she has some dates in Australia and Japan set for April. However, Lauper has announced 25 dates in the United States and Canada that will make up the last leg of her (presumably) final tour.

The last leg of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour kicks off July 15 in Buffalo, New York, and that is certainly the time of the year one wants to be in Buffalo. Will any Cyndi Lauper fans throw themselves through tables in the parking lot? After winding her way across the United States and Canada, the tour culminates with shows at the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 29 and 30.

Lauper will turn 72 a little less than a month before the North American leg of her farewell tour kicks off, but of course many a musician has gone on a final tour and then changed their mind at an even older age. Still, this could be the last time Lauper tours. In addition to her decade-defining '80s hits, she's won Grammys, Tonys, and Emmys. Maybe when she stops touring she can gun for that Oscar to get the EGOT.
