The latest poster for Deadpool and Wolverine is a touching callback to an earlier movie.
In it, we see a close-up of both Deadpool and Wolverine’s hands. The latter has his claws fully extended, while the former is inappropriately touching one of them with a finger.
It’s a play on the poster for the last movie in which we saw Hugh Jackman’s iconic mutant, 2017’s Logan. The promotional material for that saw Logan’s hand held by a much smaller one, that of the young mutant he takes under his wing, X-23 (Dafne Keen).
The poster also gives us our first detailed look at the two characters’ costumes. We’ve seen them in trailers and shots, but always from a distance. Now we can see each line and stitching, and the attention-to-detail is remarkable.
We did get an earlier gloved close-up, tweeted from India’s official Marvel Twitter account, but it turned out the image was generated with AI.
Disney used AI for 'DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE'.

1. Is a Disney-operated account, and
2. Used AI-generated assets in marketing for #DeadpoolAndWolverine. https://t.co/Rw5jQV7MFi
The new poster comes just in time for the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer: giving a new look at Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds.
