Dexter: Resurrection is being, well, revived for season two at Paramount+. The streaming service finally confirmed the news, which we already kinda knew was coming. Showrunner Clyde Phillips previously hinted that this series would get another round, which is great news. And the show’s leading man, Michael C. Hall, gave us a special Dexter: Resurrection season two renewal announcement video as well.
He seems like a nice guy but something about him is slightly haunting. “First of all, I just want to thank all the fans for tuning in and taking the Dexter: Resurrection ride with us,” he said. “We’ve been greenlit for another season. The writers room is assembling now, and details will be forthcoming. But I wanted to be the first to let you know that the story continues.”
Hopefully, the network sticks with this Dexter: Resurrection renewal decision. Original Sin got a greenlight for season two, only for that decision to get a reversal several months later.
Doing the same thing twice would be nuts, but strange things often happen in the streaming world. For now, let’s celebrate another chapter in the Dexter renaissance.
