Disney releases 'Princess Concert' on YouTube and Disney+ to celebrate 70 years of Disneyland

To celebrate World Princess Week and the historic 70th anniversary of Disneyland, Disney has shared Disney Princess Concert: Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland, which was previously filmed in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at the Disneyland Resort on Tuesday, August 26, for fans around the world to enjoy.

The special concert was done in front of a live audience, featuring Jodi Benson, Paige O’Hara, Auli‘i Cravalho, and Anika Noni Rose performing their treasured music from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Moana, and The Princess and the Frog.

Ginnifer Goodwin, who voices Zootopia's Judy Hopps and portrayed Snow White in ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and Susan Egan, who voiced Megara in 1997's Hercules and played the original Belle in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway, hosted the event.

After beginning with a rendition of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes," the actresses reprised their beloved Disney Princess roles to sing "Part of Your World," a mashup of songs from Beauty and the Beast, "How Far I’ll Go," and "Almost There."

They all then united to sing a reprise of "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" to conclude the one-of-a-kind concert, with the princesses joining them on stage to dance while projections created a magical background on the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

"For over a century, Disney has enchanted audiences across generations with timeless stories that ignite the imagination, and Disney princesses remain an enduring part of our storytelling — inspiring kids and fans of all ages to go beyond dreaming big, to doing big things," Mallory Wang, Vice President of Brand Marketing at The Walt Disney Company, expressed while discussing World Princess Week.

You can watch the full performance now on YouTube and Disney+ in the United States and Canada.
