Drew Barrymore launching new magazine 'DREW'

Drew Barrymore often embodied teenage fantasy as the lead actress in cult classic romantic comedies during the 1990s and early aughts, and now, the Golden Globe-winning actress is fulfilling her own childhood dreams.

Barrymore announced Tuesday morning that she will launch her own eponymous DREW magazine June 21, the first day of summer, in partnership with Bauer Media Group:

The 46-year-old captioned photos of her presently hard at work and in her magazine-covered bedroom in the past, in part: "I’ve dreamed of this day since I was a little girl, lining my walls with tears from my favorite magazines to make wallpaper."

It's the latest in what has been an exciting March for Barrymore, who saw her (also eponymous) syndicated daily talk show get renewed for a second season. She serves as host and executive producer. "We launched this show in a pandemic, which made for a crazy, wonderful journey I never expected," Barrymore said in a statement (h/t People). "This is my dream job, and I feel so lucky to get to do this for another year."

You can get a taste for the magazine at its official website, which teases the publication as "a quarterly feel-good publication devoted to beauty, love, and fun."
