Drew Barrymore shares clever advice she'd give her younger self

Drew Barrymore and Demi Lovato have both recently shifted from performing to hosting—though in different ways, as Lovato released their seventh studio album in April while Barrymore has taken a break from acting to focus solely on her eponymous daytime talk show.

At any rate, the two powerhouses collided for the latest episode of the 4D With Demi Lovato podcast. The 37-minute conversation got really real, really quickly with Barrymore touching on having to get sober at 13 years old and growing up as a child star.

"I just wouldn't change a thing," Barrymore mused. "I'm so happy and in love and scared of my life being any different 'cause this is the one I know and this is the one I loved, and man, I worked on it really hard. It's so funny. That question is so popular: what would you tell your younger self? I'm like, nothing! She wouldn't have listened!"

Barrymore then expressed gratitude for going through her most difficult times in the 1990s, long before social media exploited famous people even more.

4D With Demi Lovato, produced by Michael D. Ratner's OBB Sound, premiered May 19. The debut episode began with the 28-year-old singer-songwriter coming out as non-binary and announcing their pronouns as they/them. New episodes drop every Wednesday.

Lovato previously stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show in mid-April, where they had similar discussions. You can watch those clips below.
