A24 has dropped the official trailer for David Freyne's Eternity , starring Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, John Early, Olga Merediz, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan (Olsen) is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with (Teller) and her first love (Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive.
In an interview with Extra, Olsen called the film "real fun,” adding, "It’s a callback to Billy Wilder films. I think it’s gonna be a special romantic comedy that we’re all really proud of."
The actress continued to tell Bustle, "It’s old-school and timeless. I’m really excited to share it in the fall. It’s a warm, heartfelt, funny piece that will make people feel good. It’s a special film about how we look back at one’s life, [both] in the end and the entirety of it, not just a moment in time. [It’s a] reflection of the gift of what it is to be alive and who we choose to spend that time with."
Olsen is widely recognized for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision, and Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. She can recently be seen in The Assessment, His Three Daughters, and Love & Death.
Teller's notable credits include Top Gun: Maverick, The Offer, Divergent, Insurgent, and Allegiant. Turner is known for his work in Masters of the Air and The Boys in the Boat.
Eternity will be released in November.
