Michael Chiklis, star of 2005's Fantastic Four and 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, is sharing his excitement for Fantastic Four: First Steps and the next group of actors to take on these beloved Marvel roles.
"I want to thank everyone for all the Fantastic Four love this last couple of months during the run up to the new F4 flick. Speaking of which, I want to wish the cast and crew of First Steps the best of luck and success," the actor, who previously portrayed Ben Grimm/The Thing, wrote on Instagram. "I admire these actors and look forward to seeing them take on these iconic roles."
However, he's not the only previous Fantastic Four actor showing his support. Ioan Gruffudd attended the World Premiere of the film in Los Angeles. Plus, the stars of the unreleased 1994 The Fantastic Four movie were also there to walk the blue carpet.
The cast of Matt Shakman's Fantastic Four: First Steps includes Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Ralph Ineson, and Julia Garner.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired,
retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
The Fantastic Four has already been confirmed to return for Avengers: Doomsday. You can see The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theaters on July 25.
