First Look at Adam Sandler in New Netflix Comedy Special

Netflix has dropped the official trailer for the stand-up special titled Adam Sandler: Love You, which marks Adam Sandler's return to Netflix for the brand new comedy special directed by his Uncut Gems collaborator Josh Safdie.

The Sand Man is back on stage in his signature uniform, which has become its own viral aesthetic, opening the trailer with his famous rasp, hollering at the crowd, "You guys are the best. I love you".

What follows is a montage of Sandler's on-stage performance and his interactions with fans off-stage, which serves as a portrait of the comedian we know and love while also giving us some of his latest material.

Sandler was last seen in Johan Renck's Spaceman, which debuted on Netflix earlier this year. In our review, we called Spaceman a tender portrait of loneliness, and it adds to the growing library of Adam Sandler films over at the streaming service.

Now, he is back doing what he's known for in Adam Sander: Love You, and it will be released on Netflix on August 27.
