Gigi Hadid and Zayn are reportedly broken up

Gigi Hadid, 26, and Zayn Malik, 28, have reportedly gone their separate ways yet again, according to People.

"They are not together right now," an unnamed source described as "a Hadid family friend" told the outlet. "They are both good parents, though. They co-parent. Yolanda is of course very protective of Gigi. She wants the best for her daughter and grandchild."

TMZ reported earlier this week that Yolanda Hadid, Gigi's mother, alleged that Zayn "struck her" during an argument last week. Gigi and Zayn, who have been romantically linked on-and-off since late 2015, welcomed their only child, a daughter named Khai, in September 2020.

Zayn appeared to address the matter on Twitter on Thursday.

The former One Direction star directly commented to TMZ: "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

A representative for the Gigi provided a simple statement to E! News and People: "Gigi is solely focused on the best for Khai. She asks for privacy during this time."

TMZ additionally relayed that the couple's "split happened more than a month ago."
