Put this on a flip flop! Guy Fieri is joining the ownership group at Legacy Motor Club. The Mayor of Flavortown is all-in on NASCAR now as he joins Jimmie Johnson's organization, and a growing group of celebrity investors which includes Darius Rucker.

When it comes to the ownership, sponsorship, and hospitality side of things, Legacy Motor Club is doing things differently than everyone else in the Cup Series. This latest ownership announcement is sure to turn some heads.

Guy Fieri is one of the most iconic faces on American TV. When it comes to celebrity chefs, he tops the list on most recognizable. His hair and fashion style are as notable as his love of flavor.

“Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love — the people, the passion, the culture, the speed,” Fieri said in a team press release. Legacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing — it’s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table.”

According to the press release from Legacy Motor Club, it is more than just an investment as an owner. Legacy says there are "plans for collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and licensed merchandise that brings together racing, food, and lifestyle culture."

Sounds like Flavortown is coming to a track near you, soon. What do you make of this move, and is the celebrity investment strategy going to work out for Legacy Motor Club long term?
