Here's the full cast for Marvel Studios' 'Avengers: Doomsday'

Take a seat, it's time to find out who is going to be in Avengers: Doomsday. During a live stream, Marvel Studios revealed that the cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and of course, Robert Downey Jr.

So, let's break down these characters. We have Downey as the big bad, Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, then we have Thor, Loki, Sam Wilson / Captain America, the Fantastic Four, Bucky Barnes, Ant-Man, Shang-Chi, Shuri / Black Panther, Yelena Belova, Ghost, the Red Guardian, Joaquin Torres / Falcon, US Agent, Sentry, Namor, M'Baku, and the X-Men.

Despite the massive list, Marvel Studios revealed in an Instagram comment to Downey that “there’s always room for more,” seemingly implying that there will be even more familiar faces returning.

"That's what u call a deep bench of talent... actually it's more like a row, but an extra long one... That must be it...right?"

While some characters might not be in Doomsday, it's important to remember that they could show up in Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled to be released in 2027. One example of this is Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange. The actor told Variety that he is absent because of “the character not aligning with this part of the story," but that he will be "in a lot" of Secret Wars. "He’s quite central to where things might go," Cumberbatch explained

Both upcoming Avengers films will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who worked on Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

"The MCU has got quite large, that’s for sure. I mean, frankly, we struggle with that same issue," Anthony Russo expressed to ComicBook. "But part of the reason Joe and I decided to go back is exactly what you’re talking about. There needs to be more of a central narrative. That was something we were very specific about when we worked with Marvel [before]. We would like to bring the focused narrative back."

Avengers: Doomsday comes out in May 2026.
