Season 33 of "Dancing With The Stars" wrapped up on Tuesday night and it ended with Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson walking away as the champs.

They competed with four other couples for the trophy and were voted as the winners thanks to a combination of judge scores and votes by viewers watching it on television.

American rugby star Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten were very close to winning but came in second when the results were finalized. After seeing the results, Maher had a classy message on her Instagram for everyone who watched this season.

"Thank you for everything, guys. You voting are the reason we got to 2nd place. Of course, it’s no first but honestly, we won in many other ways. So lucky to have been partnered together and shared this amazing journey. We will remember this forever. Love, Alan and Ilona," her caption read

Maher and Bersten became close friends over the last two-and-a-half months and that won't change even though Season 33 of this show is over.

They'll also hopefully get the chance to be on the dance floor again on April 5 since Maher will join the "Dancing With the Stars" live tour cast. She's hoping that Bersten will join her for that night so they can dance a bit more.

In addition to her work on DWTS, Maher also made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut this year. That's on top of her Olympic medal in Paris this summer.

Not a bad few months.

Season 34 of DWTS will take place next year. Even though the show is 30+ seasons in, it's showing no signs of slowing down.
