Jelly Roll Reveals Plans for Another WWE Match After SummerSlam
  • Jelly Roll will wrestle again and wants another match after SummerSlam, inspired by Bad Bunny.
  • Dream: a 6-9 month WWE run, wrestling weekly and improving every time in the ring.
  • Trained hard at the WWE Performance Center, even broke his pinky in week one.

Country singer Jelly Roll was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet, where he spoke about his WWE debut, his weight loss journey, and whether he plans to return to the ring.

Jelly Roll Wants To Wrestle Again

The “Need A Favor” singer made his in-ring debut at SummerSlam, where he teamed with Randy Orton to face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. The match ended with McIntyre and Paul winning. As noted, Jelly Roll had revealed days after SummerSlam that it was his idea about wanting to lose his debut match, because no celebrity had done it before. Anyway, while speaking with Vliet, he could see how addictive it is, using rapper Bad Bunny as an example. He said:

“I will wrestle again, for sure. I want to run it back. I want to do one more. I know why Bad Bunny had to do Backlash now because I know he walked out of that ring that night [after his first match] knowing how much more he could give.” (h/t: F4Wonline)

The Backlash match that Jelly Roll was talking about was when Bad Bunny faced then-Judgment Day member Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight. The match happened at Backlash 2023.

Jelly Roll's Dream Match Scenario

Vliet asked if he wanted to do a singles match this time, but he wasn’t sure what kind of match he would do next. What he did know was how long he wanted to be in the promotion. His dream scenario would be a six to nine month run with WWE. He said:

“I don’t really know what I want, But one, a dream scenario is: I’d like to get involved for like a run. Like, I’d like to wrestle every Friday, you know what I mean? Like, I’d like to get involved for like a 6-9 month run. But I definitely got to do one more though, man. It’s like anything else in life. You did it once and you think you were prepared, but you wasn’t. And you leave there, all I could think about is everything I know I could have done a little better.”

As noted, Jelly Roll seemed to have taken his WWE debut seriously. Before even entering SummerSlam, he was training for hours at the WWE Performance Center. In his first week of training, he broke his pinky finger and trained with the likes of WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker and Kevin Owens. So, WWE fans shouldn’t be surprised if they see Jelly Roll in the ring sooner than later.
