Jennifer Lawrence, husband Cooke Maroney expecting first child

We are so excited for Jennifer Lawrence, we wish we could trip up the stairs to congratulate her.

People confirmed late Wednesday night that the 31-year-old actress is expecting her first child with her husband Cooke Maroney.

The internet went bonkers:

Lawrence and Maroney, a 37-year-old art gallery director, began dating sometime in 2018 after the Oscar winner had split from director Darren Aronofsky in late 2017. The parents-to-be were engaged by February 2019 and wed that October in Rhode Island.

Earlier Wednesday, the first official teaser trailer for "Don't Look Up" dropped. Adam McKay's satirical doomsday movie marks Lawrence's return to acting from a year-long hiatus that began in early 2018 after "Red Sparrow" was released. The "Hunger Games" star was last seen in 2019's "X-Men: Dark Phoenix."

In "Don't Look Up," Lawrence plays low-level astronomer Kate Dibiasky, who has identified a life-threatening comet headed directly for Earth alongside her teacher and mentor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio). The two set out on a media tour in hopes of raising awareness and saving humanity before the comet hits. They end up in the Oval Office with President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), who scoff at them. The duo experience the same response on the air of morning show "The Daily Rip" hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry). But will they be successful in getting indifferent people to look up and look outside of themselves?
