‘Jeopardy!’: Ken Jennings Reveals Sweet New Tradition With His Son, Dylan

It’s father/son bonding time! Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings revealed a new tradition he does with his son, Dylan, that has allowed him to expand his trivia knowledge.

Talking with People at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, California, on April 30, Jennings shared, “I’m trying to see all the Major League ballparks with my son.”

“And so a lot of these are places I’ve never been, and so now I’m like, ‘Hey, I have trivia about Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. I know about the fountains and the waterfalls now. So I’m accumulating Major League ballpark trivia at an alarming rate,” he continued.

The Jeopardy! host said that Dylan is a bit of a trivia whiz himself, but he doesn’t want to follow in his father’s footsteps and compete on a game show. “He doesn’t want to compete in his dad’s domain, and that’s fine by me,” he said.

Jennings shares Dylan, born in 2002, with his wife, Mindy. They also have a daughter, Caitlin, together. The game show host typically keeps his family out of the limelight, but occasionally shares photos of them on his social media.

He is not shy when it comes to his love of sports, particularly Seattle sports teams. The last post he shared with Dylan was in November 2025.

“(extremely ominous voice) Heaven help the foes of Washington,” Jennings captioned the Instagram post. They both wore University of Washington gear and snapped a photo of themselves in the stands at the game. They also went to see a Mariners game earlier that year in May.

In July 2025, Jennings visited Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Field ball park, where he sang “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” It is not clear how many more stadiums the duo has to visit, but they often frequent Mariners games (the family home is in Seattle).

The father/son duo also attended a playoff Mariners game in 2022, which was Dylan’s first playoff game for his home team. “The last time his team made it to the playoffs, this guy wasn’t born yet. He just started his sophomore year of college. Congrats @Mariners!” he captioned the X post
