Jeremy Renner is hopeful he'll get to star in a "Hawkeye" season two

Jeremy Renner is looking to get back out there in a big way, and he's particularly hoping to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I’m always happy to be in that world, man. I love all those guys, I love the character," he said. Renner has also spoken positively about the possibility for a second season of "Hawkeye," which is notable because previously he said he turned the opportunity down because he was offered half the salary he was paid for the first season.

Now, Renner is saying, "I’m sure we’ll end up doing season two," and added, "And I’m happy to do it. My body’s getting ready for something like that."

In terms of his "body getting ready," as you may know Renner nearly died in a snow plow vehicle accident that left him with double-digit broken bones. He needed to recover from that enough to simply do life stuff, but also to act, and to do Hawkeye-style stunts. He's now evidently hopeful he will get that chance.

Marvel has gone through some belt-tightening in recent months, pulling back on both film and TV show production. It remains unclear if they are onboard with a second season of "Hawkeye" and the investment needed to make it happen. It definitely seems plausible, though clearly some salary matters will need to be settled.
