It's Deadpool & Wolverine week, and the amount of stories flying about are endless.
With the loveable rogues hitting heaters around the world this weekend for the highly anticipated entrance of Deadpool to the MCU, fans want to know if Deadpool is still going to be his signature "merc with a mouth" self or if he's going to need to clean up his act for the big Disney bosses.
You may be pleased to hear that he's still got it and takes it to a new level in Deadpool & Wolverine by taking it out on the Marvel "powers that be" themselves throughout the film.
Kevin Feige was asked about this choice in an interview with Discussing Film, where he told them, "If you can't poke fun of yourself? That's, sort of, not the spirit I think of Marvel in general but specifically of Deadpool".
Many of Ryan Reynolds' shots at Marvel feel off the cuff, but Feige said, "There certainly was some riffing [but] almost all of it ... was in the script".
Feige spoke to the scene in Deadpool 2 where Reynolds reads the Green Lantern script and shoots himself in the head.
"You need to be able to take it. [Deadpool] makes fun of himself, he makes fun of Wolverine, and he makes fun of us," Feige said.
Kevin Feige tells us about his reaction to Deadpool making fun of Marvel Studios & The Multiverse Saga.
