Lindsay Lohan is returning to acting with a Netflix rom-com, but she already has her happy ending in real life.
On Sunday, the 35-year-old announced her engagement to Bader Shammas, captioning a four-photo carousel, "My love. My life. My family. My future":
Lohan and Shammas have been dating for two years, according to The Independent, and Shammas works at Dubai's global investments bank Credit Suisse as the assistant vice president. Lohan was previously engaged to Egor Tarabasov, though the former child star publicly spoke about the relationship as being frequently abusive around their split in 2016.
In May, Variety broke the news exclusively that Lohan would be starring in an untitled Netflix romantic comedy. The outlet also had first dibs on Chord Overstreet's casting as Lohan's on-screen love interest earlier this month.
The premise is simple: Lohan is "a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who gets into a skiing accident and suffers from total amnesia. During her recovery, around Christmastime, she finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner [Overstreet] and his precocious daughter." See the first-look photo below.
