Maroon 5 taps Megan Thee Stallion for 'Beautiful Mistakes' single

"Usually, I like my situations beneficial," Megan Thee Stallion raps early in her featured verse on Maroon 5's new single "Beautiful Mistakes" that the pop band unveiled Wednesday, and the simple fact is that every song benefits from Hot Girl Meg.

"Beautiful Mistakes," produced by blackbear and Andrew Goldstein, presumably joins acoustic ballad "Memories" and more upbeat but still sentimental bop "Nobody's Love" on the uncomfirmed track list for Maroon 5's seventh studio album. "Memories" arrived in September 2019 as a tribute to the band's long-time manager, Jordan Feldstein, who died from a pulmonary embolism in December 2017.

Meg, meanwhile, set the industry on fire last year with "Body" and "Savage Remix" featuring none other than Beyonce. Just for good measure, she also hopped on Cardi B's viral single "WAP." The 26-year-old Houston native was one of three cover stars for GQ's annual Man of the Year issue last November.

Maroon 5 will set out on tour in July. The dates were originally scheduled for last year but postponed over health and safety concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
