Mckenna Grace has signed up to star in ‘Scream 7’.
The 18-year-old actress will be joining Neve Campbell, Isabel May, Asa Germann and her ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ co-star Celeste O’Connor in the upcoming horror flick for Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures, which is slated to hit cinemas in February 2026.
While Grace has been confirmed as the newest cast member of ‘Scream 7’, the ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ star’s role in the film is being kept under wraps, and no plot details about the movie have been revealed yet.
‘Scream 7’ will bring back Campbell’s Sidney Prescott - who has been at the forefront of the franchise since its inception in 1996 - and will follow the slasher survivor in another face-off with the dreaded Ghostface.
During an appearance on ‘Entertainment Tonight’ in July, the actress said: "We are going to follow Sidney. They did pitch the concept to me, and it’s the reason that I jumped on board.
"I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, I'm so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades."
Campbell added that while she hadn’t received a finished script yet, she was "excited" for fans to see what director Kevin Williamson has in store.
She teased: "The fandom is nuts, they are incredible and very passionate about these films. I'm excited to give them a new one!"
The actress will be returning to the franchise after she skipped ‘Scream VI’ over a salary dispute, and admitted it was "so satisfying" that her pay issue could be resolved for the upcoming movie.
The ‘Party of Five’ star said: "I'm super grateful that they came around on it. [‘Scream VI’] just didn't feel right.
"I couldn't after this many decades of carrying a franchise, to feel undervalued and underpaid and to know that it wouldn't have happened to a man in that way.
"It just wouldn't make sense for me to walk on that set. So, I'm glad I stood up for myself."
While Campbell will appear in ‘Scream 7’, former series star Courteney Cox insisted in September she had not signed on to reprise her part as Gale Weathers in the picture.
She told Variety: "I'm not officially signed on. I'm not, but there will be a ‘Scream 7’."
Principal photography is due to begin later this month in Atlanta, but the ‘Friends’ star insisted she didn't have a specific deadline for making a decision about whether or not she'll be involved.
She continued: "They’re rewriting all the time. It’s not like I don’t know what’s going on."
Whether or not Cox does return, it was previously confirmed ‘Scream VI’ stars Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera would not be a part of the film, with the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ actress dropping out over scheduling conflicts with the second season of the Netflix show ‘Wednesday’.
Meanwhile, Barrera was fired from the project in November 2023 over pro-Palestinian social media posts that were seen as antisemitic.

Fever Coach Stephanie White Has Given One Player the Green Light Amid Caitlin Clark's Injury
Caitlin Clark is expected to sit out for a fourth straight game on Sunday when the Indiana Fever take on the Chicago Sky in a much-awaited rivalry matchup. The 23-year-old is still dealing with a reaggravated groin strain and has no timetable to return. The rest of her Fever teammates have had to step up in her absence. There is, perhaps, no other player who has taken a bigger role on the offensive end amid Clark’s injury spell than three-time All-Star Kelsey Mitchell. Mitchell, however, struggled with her shot in Thursday’s win against the Las Vegas Aces. The 5-foot-8 guard shot the ball poorly in the first three quarters, going just 4-of-19 from the field for 12 points. Mitchell caught fire in the fourth, though. She went 4-of-5 in the final frame for nine points, finishing with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-24 shooting. This is exactly why head coach Stephanie White remains completely confident in Mitchell’s scoring ability. The veteran coach has made it clear that she has given Mitchell the green light to shoot the rock. “The biggest thing with Kelsey is just telling her, ‘Let it fly.’ It’s going to go,” White said after Thursday’s win against Las Vegas. "... Keep shooting it from outside. She made some big ones when we needed them.” Kelsey Mitchell Has Stepped up Amid Clark's Injury Mitchell has answered the call for the Fever of late. In the three games Clark has been sidelined, Mitchell has put up averages of 22.0 points on 42.9% shooting. She also knocked down 2.7 triples during that stretch on a 34.8% clip. The 29-year-old veteran will need to keep her foot on the gas on Sunday as the Fever try to take down the Sky at United Center. With Clark watching from the bench, the Fever will rely on Mitchell’s scoring against Chicago as they look to improve on their 13-12 record. The Fever and Sky meet at 3 p.m. ET Sunday on ABC.
Steelers reporter shares big claim about how Aaron Rodgers has looked in training camp
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers spent the bulk of the spring as an unsigned free agent and, thus, only began officially practicing with Pittsburgh Steelers teammates during the team's three-day mandatory minicamp in June. During a Monday appearance on Pittsburgh radio station 102.5 WDVE, Steelers reporter Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette addressed how Rodgers looked during his first few training camp practices with the club. "His release is just astonishing to watch," Dulac said about Rodgers, as shared by Ross McCorkle of Steelers Depot. "Everybody knows about it, and when you see it in person, you see it every day in practice, you just marvel at it. To me, he's the greatest thrower of the football I have ever seen, even at 41 (years old). That flick of that wrist and that ball comes out, it's moving and it is something to see." Rodgers was with the New York Jets when he suffered a torn Achilles four offensive snaps into the 2023 regular-season opener. He was then slowed by a nagging hip issue, injuries to both his knees, a low ankle sprain and a serious hamstring problem as the 2024 Jets went 5-12. According to Pro Football Reference, Rodgers finished last season ranked 28th in the NFL among qualified players with a 48.0 adjusted QBR and 26th with a 43.9 percent passing success rate. That said, he was also eighth with 3,897 passing yards and tied for seventh with 28 passing touchdowns. Rodgers and Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson endured some struggles during training camp sessions last summer before the two allegedly "never saw eye-to-eye" during the season. It sounds like Pittsburgh fans should be encouraged by how Rodgers performed in recent practices. "That guy can get rid of the ball as quick as anybody," Dulac added. "He made three throws in seven-on-seven (drills) the other day that the cumulative total I bet couldn't have exceeded 2.1 seconds. And two of those were for touchdowns." Rodgers wants to finish his career "the right way" and help the Steelers notch at least their first playoff win since January 2017. As of Monday morning, DraftKings Sportsbook had Pittsburgh at -150 betting odds to miss the playoffs for the upcoming season.
Ryne Sandberg’s health was worst-kept secret at HOF induction weekend
Ryne Sandberg died on Monday at 65 after battling prostate cancer. His death came a day after the 2025 class was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Apparently the former second baseman’s health status was the worst-kept secret over the weekend. MLB Network reporter Jon Morosi said on X that Wade Boggs had cried when mentioning Sandberg during an interview with Morosi recently. Boggs had cried because he knew his Hall of Fame classmate of 2005 was in declining health. Veteran MLB reporter Jayson Stark said that there was sadness around Cooperstown as people prepared to hear the news about Sandberg. Sandberg played in Major League Baseball for 16 seasons from 1981-97. He played 15 seasons with the Chicago Cubs and became a beloved figure in the city. Sandberg earned 10 All-Star selections, nine Gold Glove Awards, and seven Silver Slugger Awards while in Chicago. Sandberg also was named National League MVP in 1984 and led the NL with 40 home runs in the 1990 season. Sandberg first announced in January 2024 that he had been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. A positive development then followed in August when Sandberg revealed that tests had detected no more cancer in his body following treatment. However, Sandberg announced just a few months later that his cancer had returned. Additionally, Sandberg revealed that the cancer had spread to his other organs as well. After retiring as a player, Sandberg was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005, his third year on the ballot. He also had his No. 23 retired by the Cubs later that year and briefly had a stint from 2013-15 as manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, Sandberg’s first MLB team.
WNBA Coach Involved in Caitlin Clark Incident Called a ‘Liar’
Still without Caitlin Clark, who has missed 14 games (including Commissioner's Cup championship) so far during the 2025 WNBA season, the Indiana Fever have improved to 14-12 and are in the midst of a two-game winning streak. Clark has missed the last four games for Indiana thanks to another groin injury. This also kept her out of the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game when her team, Team Clark, fell to Team Collier. Caitlin Clark's Past With One WNBA Coach Even with Clark sidelined, the former Iowa guard received the most fan votes, earning All-Star captain honors. She selected her team during the All-Star draft and made headlines by orchestrating the first-ever All-Star coaching swap, trading Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve for New York Liberty’s Sandy Brondello. Clark and Reeve have had a bit of a history since Clark joined the league in 2024. She was notably left off Reeve's Team USA roster for the 2024 Paris Olympics, a decision that did not sit well with many. Reeve even downplayed questions about Clark's snub and impact on the WNBA last year. Cheryl Reeve Called Out For 'Lying' Still, despite the controversy, Christine Brennan, author of "On Her Game: Caitlin Clark and the Revolution in Women's Sports," was eager to hear the Lynx coach’s perspective on Clark’s rookie season. In a recent episode of "The Robin Lundberg Show," Brennan discussed her new book and shared how she approached Reeve for an interview. "I texted her, I called her PR people," Brennan said. "I got in touch with the PR, emailed the PR people. Went through USA basketball several times in May when that first story broke for USA Today, and then all the way through, including, I forget exactly when, but certainly December, maybe January, to give her an open opportunity to talk to me. I would have run the quotes at length." She went on to reveal that Reeve accused her of not "doing the due diligence," prompting Brennan to call the coach out. "Um, you know, if she didn't want to do that, okay, that's fine," Brennan added. "But when she said, I think at one point in that appearance she had that, well, I didn't do the due diligence. Oh, I so did the due diligence, and she knows that because she had the messages, including text messages, when I got her cell number. So, the lying Robin, it's it makes me sad to say this because I like Cheryl Reeve. I mean, the lies, you know, are there, and anyone can find them and see them." The Fever will be back in action on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. ET, facing the Phoenix Mercury. It is unclear if Clark will be able to play at the time of this article.
