Meghan Trainor defends double-toilet bathroom with husband Daryl Sabara: 'It's the best thing I ever did'

Meghan Trainor has doubled down on her duplicate toilets.

"I didn't know it was gonna be such a big deal. That's why I casually brought it up on a podcast," The 27-year-old singer-songwriter said on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" this week. "We moved into this new house, and you know, you get up all throughout the night with a baby, and you gotta pee. And there's so many moments where I was like, 'Move!' You know? I was like, 'I have to go!'"

Trainor continued: "And so, when we moved to this new house, I was like, 'I have an extra toilet. Can I just pop them next to each other?' And the plumber, like, giggled. I was like, 'I don't see why you're laughing. Like, just do it. Get it done.' And they did it, and like, it's the best thing I ever did."

When Fallon suggested having her toilet right next to one for her husband, 29-year-old Daryl Sabara, was "a terrible idea," she insisted that the set up is "the best thing about my house," and she won't be changing it despite the public's confusion.

Countless headlines have been generated since the Grammy winner first revealed on an Oct. 1 episode of Nicole Byer’s "Why Won’t You Date Me" podcast that she and Sabara have dueling toilets that they use “often,” but they’ve “only pooped together twice.” (“I don’t wanna poop alone!”)

Trainor married the former "Spy Kids" star in December 2018, and the (apparently very close) couple welcomed their first child, a son named Riley, in February.
