Melanie C is calling on the universe to help bring a Spice Girls Glastonbury dream gig to life.
Sporty Spice is still hoping for the ultimate festival moment with her former bandmates, saying it would be "the pinnacle" of her career.
Speaking to former Spice Girls publicist Nicki Chapman for her Pop Idols series on Magic Radio, the singer reflected on the group’s enduring bond and their long-standing hopes of one day landing the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
She said: “Glastonbury would be the pinnacle, it’s a bucket list. Spice Girls, Pyramid Stage — I like to think that will happen at some point. I’m very strongly manifesting that it will happen.”
According to Melanie, the chemistry between the group remains unmistakable whenever they reunite.
She said: “There’s something about the dynamic of the Spice Girls — when we’re in a room together it’s electric. It still happens to this day… there is something magical about those five personalities.”
The Spice Girls — Emma Bunton (Baby), Geri Horner (Ginger), Mel B (Scary), Victoria Beckham (Posh) and Melanie C — became one of the defining pop acts of the 1990s, but Mel C also reflected on the pressures that came with global fame.
She described the scrutiny they faced as “really hard for anyone in the public eye”, adding that much of the treatment they experienced “would never happen now.”
The singer also admitted she once struggled with her identity within the group, attempting to distance herself from her Sporty Spice image by changing her look and approach.
She said: “It wasn’t until their 2019 tour - sans Posh - that she fully embraced being 'all these things'.”
Alongside her pop legacy, she has since built a parallel career as a DJ, which she says has opened up a “whole new world” creatively.
But despite her solo evolution, the Glastonbury ambition remains firmly in focus.
