Millie Bobby Brown wants to shave her head again, found it "liberating"

While promoting The Electric State, Millie Bobby Brown made an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast and talked about how she had to shave her head for the role of Eleven on Stranger Things when she was younger.

"I really did not care. I didn’t have anxiety, I wasn’t sad when they shaved it off. I just thought, 'Cool. Now this is what I’m doing.' I think it started to hit me months and months in."

She continued to explain, "You get at that age where you’re 11 now and you’re shaving it consecutively every three days because it cannot grow past a certain length because we’re filming, so continuity-wise you are shaving it. So every time it started to grow and I’d get excited, we’d shave it again."

The actress did begin to feel insecure and put wigs on. She admits that she would get bullied in public, but Brown added that she "loved the experience" and would actually do it again. As for the timing? "I always tell Jake [Bongiovi], for my first baby, I want to shave my hair off," she shared. "It was really liberating, would suggest it for anyone — any girl."

"Maybe right before I’m about to give birth," she commented. "I just think hair is such an ordeal anyway to deal with. I’m gonna nurture my child, why deal with my hair?"

Stranger Things has already wrapped production on its fifth and final season, which is set to premiere sometime later this year. Brown has played the starring role of El since 2016.

"I had that experience as a girl, but I’d like to have that experience as a woman."

The Electric State is based on Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel and will begin streaming March 14 on Netflix.
