Minka Kelly‘s time playing Quinn O’Grady in Netflix’s western drama Ransom Canyon has come to an end. The Netflix series has been canceled after two seasons.

After the show’s cancellation was announced, Kelly shared her thoughts in a heartfelt note. She reposted a video featuring Quinn and her love interest, Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel).

“Appreciating this little trip down memory lane as we say farewell. All good things must come to an end. And so it is,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you all for giving us two beautiful seasons! I love you forever my Ransom Canyon family!!”

Kelly’s friend, Sweet Magnolias star JoAnna Garcia Swisher, commented, “Loved every minute, my friend.”

Plenty of fans in the comments were heartbroken over Ransom Canyon’s cancellation. One wrote, “@netflix made a bad decision. They could have at least allowed a 3rd season…I hope someone else picks it up. I loved both seasons, and I was invested in all of the characters and storylines.”

Another said, “Netflix, as always, messing things up. This series was my favorite; it brought me immense comfort. I loved it so much. And Netflix went and canceled it. It hurts so much. I spent the whole night crying; it’s so unfair. The series had so much potential and so many incredible and good things to explore.”

The second season premiered on July 23. After leaving Ransom for New York City, Quinn returned home — and her new boyfriend, Oliver (Ben Robson), joined her. However, Quinn just couldn’t shake her long-standing feelings for Staten. At the end of Season 2, Quinn and Staten were finally together and happy.

Kelly previously shared her Season 3 hopes with Swooon. “I think it’s a really exciting idea, the potential of a Season 3 and getting to see what these two are like in domesticated life and see really what it’s like when you try to build a life together and a home together,” she said.
