Narvel Blackstock Had 4 Kids: Brandon, Shelby, Shawna & Chassidy

Narvel Blackstock, a talent manager like his son Brandon, has three other kids: Shelby, Shawna and Chassidy Blackstock.

Brandon Blackstock's mother is Elisa Gilbert, Narvel's ex-wife, according to TODAY.

Narvel Blackstock was married to McEntire from 1989 to 2015, according to People.

He shares Shelby Blackstock with McEntire. Shelby posted a tribute to his dad on Instagram, writing, "Words can’t describe how much I love you and how much you have impacted my life. Thank you for everything!"

McEntire told Entertainment Tonight that she considered Brandon Blackstock her son.

“Brandon’s been my son forever, it seems,” she said. “Although he’s my stepson, I still love him like he’s my total — my blood, so I’m praying for them both because I love them both.”

Shelby Blackstock Is a Race Car Driver

The Daytona Beach Journal, in a 2012 article, described Shelby Blackstock as a "Daytona rookie."

"I've always wanted to race here," Shelby Blackstock told the publication. "It wasn't really shocking until I was going around Turn 4 and shifting into fifth gear and I was looking around and realized I was going 160 miles per hour and that I was passing my break-zone marker. It's like a kid in a candy store. You get to drive the car you've been wanting to drive forever."

He grew up in Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles, according to the newspaper.

His LinkedIn page details his racing career. It says that he also works as a principal for a Nashville development company.

"I discovered the passion for racing while I attended college at The University of Arizona in 2010. Deciding to put aside the conventional college dream, I dedicated 100% of my time to a career in racing. I began in the Skip Barber Racing series, fine-tuning the new craft; picking up podium finishes and wins over the course of the year," he wrote.

For my professional debut, I competed in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, driving the Ford Mustang. The following season I successfully secured the pole position at the Daytona International Speedway," he added.

"From 2012-2017 I contended in the Mazda Road to Indy series (a ladder system to aid young drivers in preparation for the Indy Car series, the top level of American open wheel racing). Within those years, I picked up various podiums and a win. In that time, I also raced a sedan series," he wrote.
