NBC has four new series joining its lineup for the 2026-2027 season, and while some things will remain the same in its primetime schedule, there are some changes.
Wednesdays still belong to the three One Chicago shows, but NBA is taking over the night on Tuesdays. And there’s a major change coming to Thursdays, with Law & Order moving from leading off the night to capping it off at 10/9c, after SVU, staying in its time slot. Now, The Traitors (the civilian version) will air at 8/7c.
New drama Line of Fire, starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis, is joining the lineup on Mondays at 10/9c, after The Voice. Mondays will also see The Voice going from two hours in September and October to one, at which point comedies St. Denis Medical and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will take over the 8/7c hour. The coaches for this season of The Voice are Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Riley Green, and a fourth who has yet to be announced.
Other new series include The Rockford Files, a reboot starring David Boreanaz as the private investigator, premiering in January; Newlyweds with Téa Leoni and Tim Daly on Fridays this fall; and Sunset P.I. with Jake Johnson and Jane Levy in February.
A new game show, Wordle, based on the word game, will be hosted by Savannah Guthrie and executive produced by Jimmy Fallon.
The network will also celebrate its 100th anniversary on December 10 with a live, three-hour variety special from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The telecast will honor the past century of must-see television, groundbreaking moments, and iconic stars.
As part of America’s 250th birthday, NBC will air The Americas: A Wild 250th and, also in the franchise, in 2027, The Americas: Mother’s Day. Other specials include the 100th edition of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on November 26; the 78th Emmy Awards on September 14; The National Dog Show Presented by Purina, and Christmas in Rockefeller Center.
