'NCIS' and 'Bones' actor Heath Freeman dies at 41

Heath Freeman has died at 41 years old, it was confirmed Tuesday (Nov. 16) to outlets such as NBC News and E! News by his manager, Joe S. Montifiore.

"We are truly devastated at the loss of our beloved Heath Freeman," Montifiore said in a statement. "A brilliant human being with an intense and soulful spirit, he leaves us with an indelible imprint in our hearts. His life was filled with deep loyalty, affection, and generosity towards his family and friends, and an extraordinary zest for life."

Montifiore added that Freeman felt "extremely proud of his recent film work and was very excited for the next chapter of his career."

Freeman's last acting credit came in the forthcoming Western thriller "Terror on the Prairie," which is expected for 2022. Gina Carano, one of Freeman's costars in the film, mourned his passing on Instagram.

Freeman previously appeared as Benjamin Frank in a 2003 episode of "NCIS" and Howard Epps across three episodes of "Bones" from 2005-07.
