Well, it's official: Bridgerton will be returning for seasons 5 and 6, telling two more of the Bridgerton siblings' love stories. It has also been confirmed that the fourth season, which will be based on Julia Quinn’s Offer from a Gentleman and put Benedict Bridgerton in the spotlight, will be released in 2026.
The fourth season of Bridgerton turns its focus to bohemian second son Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down -- until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball.
The Lady in Silver, aka Sophie Baek, will be played by Yerin Ha. Series regulars include Jonathan Bailey, Victor Alli, Adjoa Andoh, Julie Andrews, Lorraine Ashbourne, Masali Baduza, Nicola Coughlan, Hannah Dodd, Daniel Francis, Ruth Gemmell, Florence Hunt, Martins Imhangbe, Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, Golda Rosheuvel, Will Tilston, Polly Walker, Emma Naomi, and Hugh Sachs.
The first season starred Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page as Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset. The second told the enemies-to-lovers story of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, played by Bailey and Simone Ashley, who is set to reprise her role in the upcoming season. As for the most recent season, fans watched Colin Bridgerton (Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Coughlan) fall in love.
The cast of season four will also include Isabella Wei as Posy Li, Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, and Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun.
The hope is that all eight books of the series will be adapted, giving one season to each of the siblings. After Benedict's eight-episode season, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth will be the remaining Bridgertons left to have their romances told on-screen.
Jess Brownell serves as showrunner and executive producer. Additionally, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen executive produce.
