As summer approaches and the heat drives you inside, take note of some of the new movies and TV shows coming to Apple TV in June 2026 (Sign up for a free trial!).
The biggest highlight is the adaptation of Cape Fear, starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams. Martin Scorsese famously remade the 1962 movie of the same name, which was based on the 1957 novel The Executioners, with Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, and Jessica Lange.
Almost 35 years later, a TV adaptation is being released by Apple TV. Scorsese is among the executive producers of the show, as are Steven Spielberg, Adams, and Bardem. Patrick Wilson and CCH Pounder also star in the series, which will premiere on Friday, June 5.
Additionally, Sugar will return with Colin Farrell. Season 2 comes more than two years after the first season concluded in May 2024. The first season followed John Sugar (Farrell), a private detective hired by a wealthy movie producer to investigate his granddaughter’s disappearance.
