Black (aka Black Francis) is in for a busy 2025. While he'll be touring with the Pixies, a true highlight for alternative rock fans will be Black's own "Teenager of the Year Shows 2025." Playing the full track list from this 1994 breakout second solo album, Black is slated to play 12 gigs in the U.S., beginning with a two-show stint at The Fillmore, San Francisco's famed music venue Jan. 15-16. The run concludes with single dates in Paris and London come early February.

Grammy Award-winning icon Mary J. Blige put out Gratitude, her 15th studio album, in November 2024. So, it made sense to spend a good chunk of 2025 on the road, on her first true headlining tour since 2022. With support from Ne-Yo and Mario, the “The For My Fans Tour," — with music spanning her exceptional career — kicks off Jan. 30 in Greensboro, N.C. and runs through North America until the middle of April.

In support of Chromakopia, his eighth studio record released in October 2024, the always imaginative Tyler hits the road for quite an ambitious world tour. Beginning in Saint Paul, Minn., on Feb. 4, the tour, which features support from Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, Tyler delivers the first leg of North American stops, then to Europe, before summering back in the U.S. and Canada. From there, the tour concludes with August and early September dates in New Zealand and Australia. When it comes to the most creative tour of '25, the popular rapper might take the prize.

After releasing No Name in somewhat surprising fashion in the summer of 2024, White played a handful of lightly-advertised dates late last year. But, the versatile music superstar will hit the road to support the album in earnest during 2025. His tour begins on Feb. 6 in Toronto, then heads to Brooklyn and Boston before spending time in Europe and Japan. Come April, however, White will be back in North America for a more extensive run of the continent. That, at the moment, is slated to run through late May.

Another popular performer hitting the road after being away from the live scene for a healthy spell. It's been seven years since Shakira shook crowds into a frenzy, but they'll have to wait no more. Her "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour" is sure to be one of the biggest in 2025. It begins Feb. 11 in Brazil, and spans South America (including five shows in her native Colombia) before landing in North America on March 19. The U.S.-stadium leg begins in mid-May, at Charlotte, and concludes June 30 in San Francisco.

The legendary Elvis Costello last released a studio album in 2022 (The Boy Named If), but apparently he feels it's time to put forth a proper live tour. Playing with Steve Nieve, a longtime collaborator and member of his backing bands the Imposters and Attractions, Costello plays North American dates in February and March. Then in June, he's backed by The Imposters, for more scheduled U.S. dates through the middle of July.

This popular Chicago-based metal act hits the road in celebrating the 25th anniversary of its debut album The Sickness (featuring classics "Stupify" and "Down with the Sickness"). The tour, which begins in Idaho on Feb. 25, and (for the time being) runs through the middle of May, will perform that album in its entirety and also feature a set of the band's other greatest hits. If that ain't enough for mainstream/alternative metal/hard rock fans, Three Days Grace, Sevendust, Daughtry and Nothing More will provide support on selected dates.

Shelton's last studio album came out in 2021 and he hasn't headlined a tour since 2023, but he apparently had the itch to get back on the road. So, after his Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace concludes in mid-February, Shelton takes off for the "Friends & Heroes Tour 2025," beginning Feb. 27 at the famed Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. Along for the ride with Shelton are fellow country stars Craig Morgan, Deana Carter, Trace Adkins, along with Emily Ann Roberts, the runner-up from Season 9 of The Voice. The 12-show tour runs through the end of May.

Fans in the South Pacific and Asia got a taste of Dua Lipa's "Radical Optimism Tour" during the tail end of 2024. However, the tour, in support of the Grammy Award-winning pop star's third studio album, gets going full throttle on March 17 in Australia. From there, Dua Lipa makes stops in New Zealand and Europe before opening the long-awaited North American leg at Toronto on Sept. 1. Though not everybody's fancy, the massively popular Jelly Roll sets out on his first international headlining run via "The Beautifully Broken: Great Northern Tour," making more than a dozen stops in Canada throughout March. Not to be overlooked are selective U.S. shows before and after that run. However, Jelly Roll's 2025 likely will be best defined by being part of Post Malone's "The BIG ÅSS Stadium Tour," which follows those headlining dates.

Speaking of the Grammy Award-nominated Post Malone. His will certainly be one of the most anticipated tours of 2025. Beginning on April 29 in Salt Lake City, "The BIG ÅSS Stadium Tour," which includes the aforementioned Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell, hits some of the biggest and most storied venues in the United States. Dallas' AT&T Stadium, St. Louis' Busch Stadium, Chicago's Wrigley Field and New York's Citi Field, to name just a few, will house what's sure to be a rollicking, high-energy, good-time experience for those who attend.

After spending time in 2024 playing dates in Europe, AC/DC embarks on its first North American tour in nine years. With Brian Johnson and Angus Young as the only surviving members of the classic post-Bon Scott era of the band in tow (with guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and bassist Chris Chaney all along for the ride), the fun begins in Minneapolis on April 10. At the moment, there are only 13 dates on schedule for the aging hard rock legends, and no shows slated for the New York City area. Of course, all that can change as things go forward. Even in the twilight of the band's career, AC/DC has shown it can still deliver at a relatively high level.

Perry's 2024 album 143 received lukewarm reviews at best, but that's not stopping the pop star from a hefty touring schedule this year. In what's Perry's first concert series in more than five years and dubbed "The Lifetimes Tour," it will celebrate her entire catalog with a few a surprises and likely plenty of costume changes along the way. Shows begin April 23 in Mexico City, then trek to Australia, Canada, South America, Europe in to early November. At the moment, however, there are no U.S. dates on Perry's '25 slate.

Rap, R&B and hip hop fans have double the reason to catch this stellar lyrically talented duo, which has collaborated on musical projects for years, most recently on the top-10 hit "Luther,' from Lamar's 2024 GNX album. The "Grand National Tour" will be the first stadium run for these two entertainment heavyweights. The tour begins in Minneapolis on April 19, and at the moment, includes 23 shows, with the finale in the Washington D.C. area on June 18.

The country superstar hasn't toured since 2022, but will be extremely active on the live front in '25. Supporting his 2024 album High, Urban's full-blown tour begins May 22 in Alabama, and runs North America through late July. Then it's off to Australia until returning to the U.S. in September for shows that take Urban right into the middle of October. However, before the official tour, Urban will play the San Antonio Rodeo in early February, then a Las Vegas residency to round out the month before two festival dates in April.

The master of comedy rock and a beloved musician to many, "Weird Al" is set for a major tour in 2025. The "Bigger & Weirder 2025 Tour" will feature a greatest hits feel, while including some deep cuts and rarities not often played live. The good times begin with a roughly week-long Las Vegas residency June 13-21 at the Venetian. From there, the tour gets going in full starting June 23 in Salt Lake City. Playing such iconic venues like Red Rocks and Madison Square Garden, as well as the Alaska State Fair, "Weird Al's" tour will be cracking up fans through late September.
Oasis
While there still is no guarantee the brothers Gallagher will actually pull off the highly anticipated Oasis reunion that the masses have long been clamoring to happen but thought would never see. Well, in late August 2024, it was announced Noel and Liam would get together to tour under the famed band moniker. Arguably the hottest rock ticket for 2025, when the tour begins early July in Wales, then plays spots in the U.K. before heading to the States, Mexico, Asia, South America and Australia. Naturally, tickets were gone in a heartbeat and steeped in controversy.

For those who missed the "genre-blending," country-pop superstar on her 2023 "Queen of Me" Tour or her 2024 Las Vegas residency, don't fret. That residency resumes Jan. 22 and runs through Feb. 8. Then this summer, she'll string together a limited run of shows for those who can't make it out to Vegas. The 10-date tour starts on July 5 in her native Canada, at Calgary's famed Saddledome. Twain's U.S. stops include Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Bangor, ME and Hershey, PA.

My Chemical Romance

Playing its celebrated 2006 concept album The Black Parade in full, My Chemical Romance gets back together for a 10-city stadium tour that had no trouble packing said venues. "Long Live: The Black Parade" North American tour will hit every major market on the continent, beginning July 11 in Seattle. MCR has never been an consistent touring option, so fans made sure to snatch up tickets in the (likely) event it'll a while before the band hits a live stage again. Perhaps more notable is the list of support acts on selected dates, including Violent Femmes, Garbage, Death Cab for Cutie, Alice Cooper, Pixies and Devo, among others.

System of a Down

System hasn't released new studio material since Mezmerize and Hypnotize both came out in 2005. Dysfunction has been an almost consistent narrative with this Grammy Award-winning metal outfit, but it will be on the road in 2025. In April and May, System of a Down is slated for dates in South America before a brief, but potentially impressive, six-pack of North American dates spanning late August and early September. There will be two nights in East Rutherford, NJ, co-headlining with Korn, then sharing the bill with Avenged Sevenfold in Chicago and two Toronto nights with Deftones.
